I grew up with a mother who, beyond being an amazing cook, had an unparalleled sense of detail. For her, a good meal was never enjoyed without a carefully set table: bread in a basket, matching plates, identical glasses for everyone. Everything had its place, and when we sat down, everything made sense. Because sharing a meal is about nourishing both the stomach and the eyes.
